Chapter One

A Harry Potter Love Story (Scorpius and Rose Love Story)

Rose was walking down the street with her cousin, Albus, "So, Albus, how is potions class?" she asked smiling. "Not good. I keep making my potions explode." he said as he straightened his green and silver tie. "I'll help you with that if you want me too. I mean hey what's family for." she said kindly. He looked at her and smiled, "Thanks. I would like that." he said. Rose smiled and nodded as she watched him. Then suddenly they heard a yell in the courtyard. They ran to the courtyard the yell came from and saw two slytherins' dueling. They recognized one of them as Scorpius Malfoy.

He was sweating and breathing hard as he glared at the other slytherin, who just smirked. "Face it, Malfoy, your family isn't as great as they used to be. Your all weak!" he said as he cast another spell. "Protego!" Scorpius yelled holding up his wand. The spell deflected and hit the slytherin, knocking him off his feet. Malfoy smiled, "Who's weak now?" he asked. "Why you little-." the slytherin said as he stood back up. He raised his wand, "Crucio!" he yelled. The curse struck Malfoy and he fell to the ground and started twitching. Rose's eyes widened and she drew her wand, "Petrificus Totalus!" she yelled as she did the gestures with her wand. The slytherin froze in place and Malfoy laid on the ground unconscious. The rest of the students walked off while Rose and Albus both ran up to Scorpius. "Come on, Rose. We better get him to the hospital wing." Albus said as he took Scorpius' arm and draped it over his shoulders. Then he lifted him up and almost fell back down. Rose quickly grabbed Scorpius' other arm and draped it over her shoulders. They both started walking down to the hospital wing, "Geez, why do slytherins' always have to act so tough?" she asked glaring at Scorpius. "I don't know." Albus said rolling his eyes.

Then they get to the Hospital Wing. They place him on a bed and wait for Madame Pomfrey to come. "Have the slytherins' always been treating Scorpius like that?" Rose asked as she sat beside Scorpius' bed and looked over at him. "Yeah, they always have." he answered. "Why?" she asked as she reached over and removed a hair from Scorpius' face. "Well, since his father and my father are somewhat friends now they view Scorpius as weak." he told her. "Oh." she said as she gazed at Scorpius with bright eyes. "Does he have any friends?" she asked as she looked back at Albus. "Whenever I see him. He is always alone." he said. Rose thought for a minute as she looked back at Scorpius, "Well he does now." she said smiling. Then Madame Pomfrey came in. Rose got up and explained what happened to Scorpius. Madame Pomfrey nodded and walked over to Scorpius and checked him all over. "He's alright." she said smiling. Rose smiled, "Good." she said. Then Madame Pomfrey left to see to her other duties. Rose sat back down beside Scorpius and gazed at him. He was handsomer than she noticed and looked very sweet when he was sleeping. "Well, you coming down to lunch, Rose?" Albus asked. She looked up at him, "No. You go ahead." she said smiling. He smiled and nodded. He turned and left, leaving Rose and Scorpius all alone. She looked down at him and smiled as she watched him. She blushed as she started feeling a feeling. "He's a Malfoy. He's the enemy." she thought to herself, "But still I get these feelings around him." she said as she looked down at him.

Hours later Scorpius groaned and opened his eyes. He looked around and realized that he was in the hospital wing. He saw something move out of the corner of his eye and turned his head to see Rose sitting beside him with her head leaned against the wall, sleeping. Her beautiful, long red hair framed her beautiful face as her arms crossed each other in her lap. He sat up in bed as he watched her. He reached over and shook her a little bit. She moaned and opened her eyes. She looked over at him, "So you woke up." she said as she gazed into his eyes and raised a eyebrow. "Who brought me here?" he asked as he looked back into her eyes. "Me and Albus." she said, "Why? Is that a problem?" she asked. "No. But why would you help me?" he asked. "Because it seemed like the right thing to do." she said. He raised a eyebrow as he watched her. She turned her head away and blushed, "Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked. "No reason." he said, "What exactly happened to me in the courtyard?" he asked. "Well, the slytherin you were dueling against cast the Cruciatus Curse on you and I stopped him." she said proudly. "Why would you do that?" he asked her. "Because....well.....that's what friends do." she told him blushing. "Friends?" he asked his eyes wide. "Yeah, friends." she said. "Well Madame Pomfrey said you could leave whenever you like." she told Scorpius smiling. Scorpius swung his legs around and placed his feet on the floor. They both stood up together, "Thanks for the help but I had everything under control." Scorpius said as he started walking towards the door.

Rose's eyes widened, "What is your problem?!" she yelled at him. He turned back around and raised a eyebrow at her. She walked quickly up to him and glared at him, "Every time, ever since we started coming here, I've been helping you and how do you repay me? You say 'Thanks for the help but I had it under control.'. Don't be so proud all the time." she told him as she glared at him. "Why do you care about what happens to me anyway?!" he asked glaring back at her. She backed away and blushed, "Be-Because, we're friends." she said as tears ran down her cheeks. Scorpius was confused at first when he saw the tears, "Why are you crying?" he asked. She raised her hand up and wiped away the tears, "Nothing. No reason." she told him. Then she ran off to her common room. Scorpius watched her as she ran off crying.

The next day Rose went down to potions' class. As she entered she heard, "Oh, look it's Brainy Weasley." a bunch of slytherins snickered. She sighed and frowned as she walked over to a potions table and sat down. Her eyes widened as she heard, "Why don't you guys shut up and grow up!" from a familiar voice beside her. She looked over and saw she was sitting beside Scorpius, who was glaring at the other slytherins. She smiled a little bit and looked away as she blushed. Scorpius looked over at her and his eyes softened, "You alright?" he asked. She turned back to him, "Yeah, thanks for that." she said smiling. He smiled and nodded. Then Professor Slughorn walks in, "Alright, everyone, today we will be making the Draught of the Living Dead. Please turn your textbooks to page 10." he said smiling. Rose quickly took out her book and opened it to page 10. "As you can see I already have all the ingredients for it on your desks. You have 20 minutes to complete it. Begin." Slughorn told them. Rose begins reading the page and adds the right amount of ingredients. Then after a few steps she reads the next step, "Okay Sopophorous bean juice. Crush to get more juice." she said. Without looking she reached for a bean, only to feel Scorpius place his hand on top of hers. She quickly turned and blushed as she looked from his hand to him. He seemed pretty surprised too. "Sorry." he said as he removed his hand. She smiled and blushed again, "It's okay." she said. Then she reached over and took a bean. She did as the step said. and then stirred the potion carefully. Then she looked over at Scorpius who was still blushing as he continued with his potion. The feeling in her chest started to get bigger as she smiled at him.
